As you walk the two-kilometer path, you will get to experience the power of well-managed forests. You can explore forests in different growth stages and natural sites valuable for biodiversity. You will also get an understanding of how we at UPM manage our forests.
Welcome to the Forest Trail!
You can get a closer look at these forests and make the trip on your own by following the guided forest trail. The Forest Trail tells of our appreciation for forests: the path presents the principles of modern, sustainable forestry. Responsibly managed forests and the products made from their wood play a significant role in mitigating climate change and thus securing our future.
We hope you have an enjoyable, inspiring, and relaxing time in Verla and on the forest trail!
Download the Forest Trail brochure. Also, you can listen to the audio guide for the Forest Trail.
The Forest Knowledge Trail starts from the corner of the parking lot next to the Verla Club House (Verlantie 346). The path, which is covered with wood chips, is easy to follow and offers views of the upper course of the Verla rapids.
Note! There are ticks in the area. We recommend long-sleeved shirts and trousers.
