Verla Forest Sauna offers a traditional wood-heated sauna experience. The sauna itself is a spacious Savotta tent sauna pitched on a large wooden deck. From the terrace, a wooden walkway leads directly to the pier, making it easy to take a refreshing dip in the pristine, crystal-clear water.
Location
The sauna is located upstream at the end of the Karitsapolku path, right on the shoreline.

The sauna is available for booking between 4:00 PM and midnight (16:00–24:00). The minimum booking duration is 2 hours, which includes the time needed to heat up the sauna.
Heating the Sauna
The Forest Sauna is always self-heated, as stoking the fire is an essential part of the authentic, holistic forest sauna experience. You may begin heating the sauna only when your booked time slot starts. Depending on the outdoor temperature, the sauna stove takes about 30 to 45 minutes to reach an ideal bathing temperature.
In a tent sauna, the experience is all about the gentle, oxygen-rich steam (löyly) rising from the stove. Take your time to embrace the warmth; this is when its purifying and relaxing effects are at their absolute best.
When you are ready to leave, please add a couple of logs to the stove as you step out. This ensures that the sauna dries out properly after use.
Cleanliness, Final Cleaning, and Waste Management
Cleaning the sauna is always the responsibility of the user. Upon arrival, please check the cleanliness of the space. There should be no wood debris or ash around the stove, and no trash or forgotten textiles left behind.
If the previous user has left the sauna uncleaned, please take photos of the negligence and report it immediately by calling +358 400 718 248 or emailing info@tervarumpu.fi. We will contact the previous guest and log the unresolved issue.
